Techniques for simulating 3D geometry on planar surfaces

This is a report I did for a subject in school, which I based around techniques for simulating 3d geometry on planar surfaces. It has a list of methods used, and describes in brief, how each of them work. It includes, normal mapping, bump mapping, relief mapping, parallax mapping, surface displacement mapping, iterative mapping, interval mapping, and more (I think).
