Adobe Photoshop Fire and or Explosion Tutorial. For this Adobe Photoshop explosion and or fire tutorial, I created a new image 500 X 500 with the background set to transparent, and the colors set to default (black/white). I then created 5 different layers going from 1 - 5 up the list. 1 being at the bottom and 5 being up the top.
Step 1: Layer 1: Filter Render Clouds
Step 2: Layer 2: Filter Render Clouds, Set Layer Blending To Darken
Layer 3: Filter Render Clouds, Filert Distort Polar Coordinates: Rectangular To Polar, Smudge the dodgy looking line up the top centre to make it blend, Set Layer Blending To Overlay
Step 4: Layer 4: Filter Render Clouds, Set Layer Blending To Soft Light
Step 5: Layer 5: Filter Render Clouds, Filter Render Difference Clouds, Set Layer Blending To Overlay
Step 6: Image Mode Grayscale: Merge
Step 7: Image Mode Indexed Color: Flatten Layers
Step 8: Image Mode Color Table: Black Body My final image looked like this:
